Asakusa ROX Matsuri-yu

Asakusa ROX Matsuri-yu
A Relaxing Oasis in Asakusa with Views of Tokyo Skytree
Located on the 6th and 7th floors of the “ROX” shopping complex in the heart of Asakusa, Asakusa ROX Matsuri-yu is a large-scale bathhouse where you can unwind between sightseeing and shopping. Inside, the warm ambiance of traditional Japanese décor blends seamlessly with a sense of openness. From its open-air baths, you can enjoy stunning views of Tokyo Skytree, along with a variety of hot baths, saunas, and relaxation areas. Whether you drop by for a quick soak after exploring the city or spend the whole day here, this is truly Asakusa’s very own “hot spring resort.”
A Variety of Baths and Authentic Saunas
Matsuri-yu offers a total of 11 different baths. The Hisui Rotenburo (Jade Open-Air Bath) lets you relax surrounded by the elegant green hues of natural jade while taking in the open sky. Other highlights include a daily herbal bath, a mineral-rich seawater bath, a health-boosting tourmaline bath, jet baths, and cascading “utase-yu” waterfalls. Each bath offers a unique experience to help melt away stress.
The sauna facilities are equally impressive, featuring an authentic Finnish-style sauna, a low-temperature thermarium sauna for gentle warming, and a women-only mist sauna. Combine these with a cold plunge to experience the full “totonou” effect—a deep sense of physical refreshment and mental clarity.
Comfort and Convenience — No Packing Required
Admission includes rental bathrobes and towels (large and small), along with a full set of toiletries such as toothbrushes, skincare products, and hair dryers. This means you can stop by empty-handed and still enjoy a comfortable, worry-free visit.
Fully Equipped for a Full Day of Relaxation
The 6th floor houses a restaurant, a spacious lounge, a manga corner with around 4,500 books, and a game area. The “Nekorobi” zone features reclining chairs for lounging, while the “Utatane Room” offers a space for napping. There’s also a women-only rest area for added comfort and privacy.
With late-night hours, Matsuri-yu is also convenient if you’ve missed the last train or need somewhere to rest before catching an overnight bus. Many visitors even use it as an alternative to a hotel for a short stay in Asakusa.
